Le travail de Shepard Fairey, aussi connu sous le nom d'Obey trouve son origine en 1989 dans la rue. Remarqué pour ses affiches frappante et invasive collées dans l'espace urbain. depuis l'artiste s'est affirmé à travers un travail fort dont il présente aujourd'hui les créations, en grande partie uniques, losr d'une exposition personnelle.

The visual codes used by Shepard Fairey, aka Obey Giant, are worthy of those of Stalinist propaganda, but here they highlight the mechanisms of advertising propaganda which invade public space. There's no telling what these images are selling, but whatever it is, it's all so seductive that it's hard to resist. Fairey's rising success has helped transform his once homemade Xerox style into lush multi-colored screen prints and uniques artworks that will now be presented at the show.

L'exposition se déroule jusqu'au 29 juillet et est ouverte du mardi au vendredi de 11h à 19h et le samedi de 14h à 19h
The show is until July 29th and the gallery is open from tuesday to friday from 11 to 7 and saturday from 2 to 7

LA VITRINE / THE WINDOW

A l'occasion de cette exposition la galerie inaugure aussi 'La Vitrine', espace d'experientation tourné vers l'exterieur, visible nuit et jour.

Parralel to this show, the gallery is proud to lauch 'La Vitrine' (The window), an experimental space linked to the gallery turned towards the outside, viewable day & night.

Allard van Hoorn Double blind - Projet pour 'La Virtrine'
Allard van Hoorn créé un langage visuel composé de signes, symboles et délimitations qui mettent à jour des itinéraires alternatifs dans la société contemporaine. C'est un code visuel qu'il développe à travers le monde et, spécifiquement, dans les communautés locales ou encore dans des lieu comme le Stedelijk Museum ou la Wrong Gallery, un projet de Maurizio Cattelan. Travaillant avec des moyens qui s'étendent de la bande adhésive aux ballons à hélium dans l'espace publique, Allard van Hoorn provoque le questionnement sur des sujets comme celui du territoire et de l'interaction des uns avec les autres.

Allard van Hoorn Double blind - Show in 'La Virtrine' at Magda Danysz Gallery - Paris
Allard van Hoorn creates a visual language made of signs, symbols and demarcations that indicate alternative routes in contemporary society. It is a visual code he co-develops with people he works with in all parts of the world and, specifically, in local communities or in various art places as the Stedelijk Museum or the Wrong Gallery, a project run byMaurizio Cattelan. Working with media that range from duck tape to helium balloons and billboards to alternative street signs he plays in public spaces of urban areas provoking questions about our territories and the way we interact and relay to eachother.
