ManisfestO is inviting any artists to submit their work for its sixth visual arts exhibition/festival
November 18 to October 18 2008

deadline : Any proposal should be received by 30th march 2008.

Artists willing to show their work are invited to send a descriptive file for any of the following categories : photograph exhibition , video installations (sound and images mixing), performances….

No specific theme is imposed. The artist’s art work consistency being favoured.

Each candidate will be personnally informed by e-mail and the list of the selected artists will be on the site by 21 st April 2008. The selection will be made by a jury composed of visual arts professionals


For the photographers exhibition
the introduction file should include :

- A written ( A4) description of your concept,

- a consistent series of images illustrative of your work .

- any extra CDs must be compatible with Mac or PC’s, images in jpeg type.

A technical file should mention the following elements

- details about the presentation,

- the number, size and quality of the printings

- type of material you need : canvas, scenography, sound…

- full name and address

Files on Cds only without any paper description will not be selected



Selected videos :

Any kind of moving picture production techniques are accepted. Dvd is the official medium . quick time or AVI non-compressed files. windows media player or any other files will not be selected, videos must be 10mns long at the most. Each dvd must mention the artist’s name, title and length of the production.

Artists must certify they have the copyrights for both music and images.


Selected artists
To promote the festival/exhibition ( tv, internet, flyers, posters, progralmmes) artits must accept to let manifesto use part of their work without any financial compensation for producers and artists/authors

Manifesto will cover for presentation fees up to 150 euros together with travel expenses ( up to150 euros )

if the files are sent without forwarding envelopes , they will not be sent back and will have to be retrieved at the festival’s reception desk. If you want your work to be sent back to you after the selection please make sure you enclose a postage paid envelope.


Very Important : as manifesto is based on volunteering, any participating artist becomes member of the organisation and must, then, participate to the preparation and any tasks that are necessary to a smooth running of the event. The Selected artists will be in charge of the setting up and taking off of their work.

Participants will pay a 15-euro subscription fee.

All printings, framings and any other presentation media will be at the selected artists’ expenses.
