ATELIER
Initiation à la pratique cinématographique

STAGE LES 27, 28, 29 ,30 SEPTEMBRE 2007

Fondé par et pour des cinéastes en 1997 à Paris, L'ETNA est un lieu de création, de formation, et d'échanges autour du cinéma expérimental. L'association a pour vocation d'assurer l'indépendance matérielle d'auteurs soucieux de recherches, de propositions pratiques et formelles en matière de cinéma.
Notre atelier de pratiques comprend tout le matériel nécessaire à la prise de vues, au développement, au montage, aux interventions sur pellicule, à la projection, au format super 8, 16, 35 et numérique.
Par la mise en commun des moyens de fabrication, et en démystifiant l'idée du cinéma comme "art inaccessible", chacun peut faire ici des films sans attendre d'hypothétiques aides, et trouver les outils correspondants à sa propre démarche.

Lieu de transmission d'un certain savoir-faire, L'ETNA propose également des ateliers de formation aux techniques du cinéma expérimental, mettant l'accent sur les enjeux esthétiques, politiques, philosophiques, ludiques... liés à ces pratiques et ouvrant la voie de l'autonomie technique à tout un chacun.

L'Etna propose un atelier de formation sur 4 jours :

* Choix des objectifs
* Options de prise de vues
* Cellule à la main / cellule automatique
* Chargement des pellicules
* Réalisation en groupe

DEVELOPPEMENT EN LABORATOIRE

FORMATION THEORIQUE ET PRATIQUE :
* Initiation au développement (C4) de films super 8 et 16mm en noir et blanc.
* Produits utilisés et fabrication des chimies

TECHNIQUES DE TRAVAIL DIRECT SUR PELLICULE

FORMATION THEORIQUE ET PRATIQUE :
* Intervention directe par grattage, peinture
* Projection des rushes

Chaque participant sera par la suite entièrement autonome dans la réalisation de ses propres projets.

WORKSHOP
EXPERIMENTAL CINEMA

SEPTEMBER, 27. 28. 29 .30, 2007

Founded by filmmakers for filmmakers in 1997 in Paris, L'ETNA is a space for creation, workshops and exchanges around experimental cinema. The association aims to ensure material independence for authors caring about cinematographic experimentations, practical and formal proposals.
Our space is filled with all the necessary equipment for shooting, developing, editing, plastical manipulations on films, and projections in super 8, 16mm, 35mm and digital video format. By putting together the means of fabrication, and demystifying the idea of cinema as an "unaccessible art", each one can make films here, without waiting for hypothetical funds, and find the tools corresponding to his/her own process of creation.
L'ETNA is also a space of transmission of a certain knowledge : we propose workshops about the different technics of experimental cinema, in order to share with everyone the aesthetical, formal, political, philosophical, technical, personal... questions linked to the art of moving images and sounds.

Experiment with painting, drawing, etching directly onto the filmstrip
* Screening of the film made on the course
