The Nordic Artists’ Centre in Dale – nkd - is an institution under the Nordic Council of ministers. The centre is situated in a beautiful natural setting on the west-coast of Norway about 150 KM north from Bergen. The nkd organizes seminars, workshops and various other activities and runs an artist-in-residence program for Nordic and international artists focusing on visual culture including design and architecture.

The centre runs an artist-in-residence program with five studios and common workshops. Four studios are reserved for artists from the Nordic countries and one is for international artists.

REGULAR PROGRAM 2008

open application for residencies in visual cultural practices for visual artists, designers and architects

residencies in the regular program include a private house, studio space and a monthly grant of NOK 6700,-

RESEARCH PROGRAM 2008

residencies for researchers - theorists, writers, curators - working with visual culture including design and architecture

residencies in the research program include accomodation, access to work space and a weekly grant

PROGRAM FOR GROUPS 2008

residencies for groups presenting innovative crossover projects experimenting with visual culture, design and architecture

residencies in the program for groups include shared accomodation and studio space and a weekly grant
