Gerwald Rockenschaub ist einer der ersten Protagonisten des Crossovers zwischen Clubkultur und Hochkultur. Seine Arbeiten beziehen sich unmittelbar auf Alltag und Gegenwart. Rockenschaub sampelt, zitiert, mischt, greift wieder auf, verschiebt. Für seine Arbeit „Poster“ (2007) übersetzte er ein bereits existierendes Poster in abstrakte Formen.

Rockenschaub (geb. 1952 in Wien) zählt zu den international renommiertesten bildenden Künstlern Österreichs. Er nahm an zahlreichen Ausstellungen teil, u.a. Biennale Venedig (2000), MUMOK Wien (2004) und Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2004). 2007 ist er bei der documenta 12 vertreten. Er lebt in Berlin.

Cory Arcangel dockt in seinen Arbeiten an viele Kunst-Genres an: Neue Medien, Appropriation, Pop und Konzeptkunst. Die Heroen seiner Videoprojektionen, „Hacks“ und Soundarbeiten sind Elton John, Super Mario, Bruce Springsteen, Dennis Hopper, die Beatles oder Andy Warhol. “Another One Bites the Dust” (2007) ist ein Scan von Axl Rose’ Turnschuhen auf der Rückseite des "The Spaghetti Incident?" Albums. Ein Album ausschließlich mit Coverversionen von Guns N’Roses’ Punkidolen.

Arcangel (geb. 1978 in Buffalo, New York) ist Künstler und Musiker. Ausstellungsbeteiligungen u.a. im migros museum, Zürich (2005), The Liverpool Biennial (2004), The Whitney Biennial (2004) und im Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (2003). Er lebt in Brooklyn, New York.

Gerwald Rockenschaub was one of the first artists to engage in crossover between club culture and high culture. His works refer directly to everyday life and the present. Rockenschaub samples, quotes, mixes, reappropriates, shifts. In his work Poster (2007), he translated an already existing poster into abstract forms. Rockenschaub (born in 1952 in Vienna) is one of the most prominent Austrian artists today. The artist has been featured in numerous exhibitions at the Venice Biennale (2000), MUMOK (2004), Palais de Tokyo (2004), documenta 12 (2007). He lives in Berlin.

In his works, Cory Arcangle docks onto many art genres: the new media, appropriation art, pop art, and conceptual art. The protagonists of his video projections, "hacks," and sound works are Elton John, Super Mario, Bruce Springsteen, Dennis Hopper, the Beatles, or Andy Warhol.

Another One Bites the Dust (2007) is a scan of Axl Rose’s sneakers on the backside of the album „The Spaghetti Incident?“, an album consisting solely of Guns N’Roses' covers of various punk idols. Arcangel (born in 1978 in Buffalo) is an artist and musician. Exhibition participations have included Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York (2003), the Liverpool Biennial (2004), the Whitney Biennial (2004) and Zurich's Migros Museum (2005). He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
