[42X60] AFFICHE UNE OEUVRE DE GEORGES-TONY STOLL DANS PARIS/From February 21st to April 22nd, 2007, [42x60] will post an original work of Georges-Tony Stoll in Paris

[42X60] propose à un artiste de créer une œuvre afin de l’éditer au format affiche (42 x 60 cm).

L’artiste devra composer avec ce format imposé et tenir compte des exigences d’une lisibilité particulière.
1 000 exemplaires seront ainsi apposés sur les murs de Paris et croiseront le regard des passants pendant deux mois.
Ce concept d’exposition confrontera l’œuvre à un environnement authentique et sans apprêts.

Parallèlement à cette tentative, un site sera mis en place qui accueillera en complément une interview de l'artiste « affiché », permettant une approche et un décodage de son travail plus précis. Le site prolongera le propos de l'œuvre itinérante et pérennisera l’aspect éphémère. Au fur et à mesure, un système d’archivage consultable se mettra en place.

[42X60] call on an artist to create an original work creation to be adited on a [42x60] format.

The artist will have to work within this imposed format and take in consideration the specific on the particular (lisibilité). One thousand copies, exhibited per usual posting method, will cross the Parisian passer-bys during two month. For them all, copies deposited in various art centers and foreign distribution are be studied.

This exhibit concept will confront the artist work against an authentic environnment .

Concurrently to this attempt, an internet site will be created to welcome complementary interview of the artist allowing for a more precise approach and decoding of this work.

The internet site aims that prolonging the artist intention and mark in time the short-lived nature of the exhibit. In time an archive will be developed.
